Join us for a new exhibition exploring diverse journeys into recovery from eating disorders, and the images and objects that represent these. This event is part of the EDIFY research workstream 1: Using creative approaches in arts and humanities to capture young people’s unique experiences of living with an eating disorder.
Exhibition - 14-25 October (Monday to Friday) | 09:30 - 16:30
Evening reception - 17 October (Thursday)| 17:30-20:00
This exhibit will give visitors the chance to explore the experiences of living with and recovering from eating disorders in people from diverse backgrounds. Engage with people’s personal stories of recovery through a broad variety of pieces, including photography, word-portraits, objects and art. Also learn about the wider research of the EDIFY team and how objects can be used in therapy itself.
The event is part of the Festival of Social Science.
This exhibition is led and curated by Dr Vanessa Yim, a clinical psychologist and visiting researcher. The organising team includes EDIFY researchers Professor Heike Bartel, Dr Mariana Lopes, and artist-in-residence Maeve Magnolia with support from the wider team and King's Culture.
