Representing the field of eating disorder research, two of our own EDIFY researchers attended a workshop in Edinburgh to discuss the role of eating disorders when addressing food insecurity in people living with obesity. Within the FIO’s recently published pre-print (https://osf.io/preprints/osf/evc9y), recommended policy actions now mention education on disordered eating for health promotion staff, while eating disorders are included as a suggested focus for future work in this area.
